Sweet Waterwear functional paddleboard clothing that looks good too!

Sweet waterwear is a line of stand up paddleboard clothing created by Sean and Judy Sweet in the land of paddling, Hawaii.

There are a lot of things to love about Sweet!

Here are some of the highlights

  • They use premium watersport performance fabrics
  • It’s mostly made in the USA
  • Built in Sun Protection
  • Each piece is designed for paddlers (but great for almost any sport)
  • They feature fun and fashionable colors

Premium fabrics-Once you feel these clothes you will understand.  They are soft, lightweight, breathable, quick drying and durable.  The fabrics are also thin and flat so they hold less water and dry quickly.  They are sourced from Europe because those are the only fabrics that adhere to these stringent requirements.

The line is mostly made in the USA, most of the styles are designed and produced in the USA.   There is a team in California keeping tabs on quality and working conditions ensuring that they are safe, worker friendly and environmentally responsible.

Sun protection All of the women’s products feature 50 UPF meaning they block 98.5% of damaging UVA and UVB rays, and the men’s mesh jerseys are UPF 20, blocking 95% of UVA and UVB rays.

Designed for paddleboarding – each piece of Sweet waterwear is designed and built with the stand up paddleboarder in mind.  The attention to detail is evident with each shirt, short, and capri.  The tanks feature larger armholes and looser fits allowing greater mobility with no binding.  There are mesh panels under the arms of the long sleeve crew providing maximum breathability.  There are thin pieces of silicone on the bands of the pants to keep them in place.  You don’t feel the bands when you are wearing the capris but you notice that your pants don’t shift around as you paddle and that is a good thing!  Flatlock seams add strength and minimize chafing.  If that’s not enough, the list of athletes who have tested and wear Sweet is impressive…Candice Appleby, Nicky Gregg, Andrea Moeller, and Heather Baus, just to name a few.  These are the top ladies in the sport. They also fit a wide range of women.  They are not designed solely for the 17-22 year old surf crowd.  Which is nice because there are a lot of people who don’t fit into clothes designed for that crowd.

Sweet features bright, fun colors so you will be seen and admired from afar.  These are paddle board clothes you can feel good wearing, and you will be nice and comfy when you paddle.  No tugging, shifting, and pulling necessary to keep your clothes where they need to be.  You can just get dressed, forget about your clothes and concentrate on your paddling.  That’s the way it should be.

Nice job Sweet!
